Acknowledgements

The interviews were based on a set of questions devised by former AMWU Secretary Des Heaney. Our sincere thanks go to Mr Heaney and Heaney Blaylock and Associates arranging transcription of the original audio tapes. Others involved in interviewing were Frank Mines and Ewan Maidment. The onerous task of indexing was carried out by Barry Howarth. Further editing and online publication of the transcripts was completed by Peter Ellett.

We acknowledge with thanks the funding made available in 2017 by the ACT Government under the ACT Heritage Grants Program. With this support, the original analogue tape recordings have been restored, digitised and archived at the Noel Butlin Archives Centre at ANU.
